The Inner Wheel Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan hosted a seminar on Women’s Reproductive Health on 26 September 2025, with Dr. Muskan Chabra from Birla Fertility & IVF as keynote speaker. Presided over by Club President Amena Begum Suchona, the event highlighted that reproductive health extends beyond fertility and covers all phases of a woman’s life—from adolescence to menopause. Discussions addressed critical issues such as miscarriages, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), late marriage and delayed childbearing, hormonal imbalances, menopause, and even blood group compatibility in conception. Alarming statistics shared included that PCOS affects 5–13% of women worldwide and significantly increases risks of miscarriage, gestational diabetes, and hypertensive pregnancy disorders. Miscarriage itself affects 15–20% of known pregnancies, with higher risks in PCOS patients and older women. The seminar emphasized that reproductive health is dynamic and holistic, requiring awareness, medical support, lifestyle care, and policies that empower women to achieve healthier outcomes at every stage of life.
